Big Five-A Great New Blackjack Game
Big 5 Blackjack is yet another Blackjack variant that plays to a unique set of rules. In this particular game you will be offered late surrender but not when the Dealer is showing an Ace
It is worth pointing out that in Blackjack games where Surrender is offered should you choose to take it you will lose half of your stake, so you should only take it when the correct strategy dictates that it is the right move to make.
Splitting Rules: You are allowed to split any two cards that have the same, equal value or the same denomination and this includes un-alike ten valued cards like Jacks, Queens and Kings. If you choose to split Aces then just one card will be dealt to each Ace, and should you be dealt a ten valued card to either or both then this is a 21 hand and not a Blackjack.
Doubling Down Rules: You can Double Down just once per hand and only after you have received your first two cards. You cannot, obviously, double down after receiving a Blackjack hand, but you may, should you choose, Double Down after a Split.
Dealer Play: The Dealer will always hit a soft 17 hand. Big Five Blackjack is a no peek game which means the Dealer won’t be checking for Blackjack if he is holding an Ace or a Ten.
Online players need to be aware that the entire deck is shuffled before each game begins.
